React Native development

React Native lets us share much of an app’s code across iOS and Android while using native platform components. This is cross-platform development, rather than a website packaged inside an app.

Shared code still needs platform-specific work. We account for permissions, navigation, device features and store requirements on each platform.

Connect to your existing backend

Use established APIs where available, or scope a backend and admin portal alongside the app. Your team needs a practical way to manage the service after launch.

Check device features early

Camera access, location, notifications and hardware connections can affect the design and estimate. We review the required libraries and native work before committing to a build.

Agree supported devices and operating system versions, then test key journeys, slow connections, permissions and failure states.

Mobile app development questions

Can one React Native app run on iOS and Android?

React Native allows substantial code sharing across both platforms. Some features need platform-specific code and every release needs testing on both. We confirm the supported platforms and devices in the project scope.

Can you build the backend and admin portal too?

Yes. We can scope APIs, data storage and web administration alongside the mobile app, or connect to your existing backend after reviewing its documentation and access requirements.

Will the app work without an internet connection?

Selected features can be designed for offline use. We need to agree what data stays on the phone, which actions are available offline and what happens when changes are synchronised. Not every feature can work offline.

Do you help with app-store submission?

We can prepare release builds and assist with submission through your organisation’s developer accounts. Account fees, required disclosures and store review requirements need to be planned for; approval dates cannot be guaranteed.
